For 40 years the fort on St. Luzisteig was the home of the recruiting school for the troops and horses in the transport cavalry in the Swiss Army. The history of the Luzisteig goes back to the 15th century.
Today in the old arsenal on the top of the St. Luzisteig pass (between Maienfeld and Balzers) there is an interesting military museum.
Experience an exciting and meaningful part of contemporary history. Alongside the exhibits, visitors are shown a short film about the history surrounding St- Luzisteig.
