Museum Weesen

In the middle of the little town of Weesen, easily reached by public transport and only three minutes walk from the harbour, a pleasing building and interestingly filled exhibition rooms, make a visit to the museum inviting. Take your time to look at the exhibits, many of which were found in Weesen, and discover how people lived in medieval times.
In the museum, opened in 2010, amongst other things, meieval objects, which were recovered from excavations in Weesen, are exhibited. The finds include weapons, decorative objects and boat parts. However, there are not only things about the town of Weesen to be discovered. The watercolour and oil paintings are impressive and give valuable insights into prehistoric and Roman times.

Six different tours give you the opportunity to experience the collection in an interesting way. Visit the museum alone, with the family, with friends or as a teacher with your class. You are always welcome.
