The holiday region of Heidiland is full of these special places. Since time immemorial they have tempted visitors to take a break, switch off and recharge their batteries. In conjunction with the Swiss Research Centre for Places of Power, the Heidiland tourist office has visited and documented 50 of these special places which can be discovered on 15 circular walks. Descriptions of the walks give not only information about the energy observations but also historical facts, legends and traditions.
Places of power are zones with higher than usual natural energy where, symbolically speaking, one can recharge one's batteries. In order to document these energy zones, the Swiss Research Centre for Places of Power together with Frau Dr. Andrea Fischbacher and Philippe Elsener examined such places and measured the existing energy levels with help of a radioaesthetic pendulum. Whether or not a person perceives a place of power is subjective. A visit to one of these places is however often worthwhile in any case because they are situated in very beautiful, impressive locations. Very often they are also found in historical buildings such as chapels, old monasteries or castles. The research into places of power shows that sites of ancient rituals and the buildings at such places were deliberately sited at these locations in order to make full use of the available energies.
Places of Power
Not every "Place of Power" is also an "energy site". A place of power is, in general, a special place, where the energy quality prevalentEin Ort des Staunens ist ganz allgemein ein spezieller Platz, dessen Energiequalität vorwiegend im aufbauenden und festigenden Bereich weilt. It is healthy for people, animals and plants. At these places one can find peace, experience new sensations, feel well. If one discovers at one of these places of power a definite energy value then, depending upon the intensity and quality of the rays, one refers to the place as an energy, cult or healing site.
Energy Site
For a place to be confirmed as a site of energy the intensity and quality of the earth's rays must be examined. The intensity of the rays at a site of energy is clearly higher than that at other places, the quality is positive and life-enhancing. Undoubtedly, due to the different types of ground cover and various underlying materials the intensity and quality of the earth's rays vary considerably, intense sites can alternate with weak or even bad sites in a small area.
Healing Site
Healing sites emit increasing and reducing strength. In this way any organism which has fallen out of balance can regain its equilibrium, its healing will be supported.
Cult Site
A cult site is an energy zone in which the vibration intensity is high. It distinguishes itself by its quality as being in resonance with divinity or rituals. A cult site, depending on the cult being celebrated there, does not necessarily have to have a positive influence on living systems.
